It was the first elopement we had ever filmed and it has left an imprint on our hearts that’s honestly hard to put into words. It was so deeply vulnerable and raw in a way that left us feeling so grateful for an opportunity to capture something so deeply personal and sacred. When Regina & Alec first reached out to us, they told us how important having a video of their elopement was to them. They wanted a film that was the perfect balance between being beautifully cinematic and vulnerably raw and authentic. It was just the four of us and the Shenandoah mountains over the span of two days. Regina and Alec stayed at the incredible Doah House air bnb and had it as the backdrop of their ceremony. Everything was so intentional. The slow pace of their mornings, the boho decor that was designed and assembled by the two of them. What an honor it was to witness. We took that same intentionality while filming and editing. This film pushed our creative boundaries in every way and we are forever grateful for these two for giving us the honor to capture it.
Just few examples of their amazing customer service: Brooks quite literally gave me the shirt off his back so I could stay warm during an evening hike that they filmed, and helped my husband set up our tall altar. Angie took several INCREDIBLE photos on her professional camera for both our adventure and ceremony days and she also helped me with my dress and minimalist makeup look. They even bought us stuff from the local store that we forgot to pack for the Airbnb. It felt like we were with two good friends who accompanied us to make our day special.
